Eight of Wands
This is a practice (daily Tarot draws) I desperately want to re-commit to. I miss ‘talking’ with my Tarot deck, and the soft introspection and meditation that comes with it. Today, my card was the Eight of Wands.
When I look at the Eight of Wands, I feel a couple different things: being swept up in forward momentum, sometimes faster than you’re ready for; and watching as things move forward without you, and the feeling of being left behind. A.E. Waite tells us “that which they signify is at hand; it may even be on the threshold.” For me, that means there are some decisions that need to be made, after way too long of a waiting period of “just seeing where things go.”
The symbolism A.E. Waite gives us includes great hope, the arrows of love, and felicity. Those are symbols that echo my feelings about life at the moment.
This card can also symbolize things on the move, activity in undertakings, and swiftness. What are some things in your life that are “on the move” or “on the threshold”? Are they things that you initiated, or are they things you’ve just been passive to?
